Pastor John's ministry is characterized by two main emphases:
1) expository preaching - the verse by verse teaching of the Word of God and;
2) discipleship - teaching the practical side of how to have a relationship with Jesus, how to live the Christian life, and how to pass this on to others.

John is a graduate of Talbot Theological Seminary, La Mirada, California. He served in the U.S. Army, Vietnam, as a Chaplain's Assistant. Shortly after his tour of duty in Vietnam, he spent a summer in the Philippines as a short term missionary.
He was on the first expedition to Mt. Ararat launced by the Institute for Creation Research. Led by Dr. John Morris, he assisted in trying to locate Noah's ark. In 1973 he married Paulette Fox. Two babies later he became an associate Pastor at Grace Community Church with Dr. John MacArthur in Sun Valley, CA. John has also pastored a number of churches in California, Colorado, Kansas and Indiana.
